FLG: On the ultimate demonstration of God's love, influence multiplication, and why am I talking?
Happy FLG Thursday,
Here are 3 thoughts, 1 quote, and 1 question focused on faith, leadership, and personal growth to think about this week…
3 Insights On Faith, Leadership, and Personal Growth
I.
“Jesus knew every sin you would ever commit, and He chose to die for you anyway.”
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
- Romans 5:8
II.
“Like seeds, influence multiplies.
And it multiplies through people. What you plant in one person doesn’t stop with them. How?
It grows, produces, and gets passed on to others—even ones you may never meet.
That’s why every interaction matters.
Leadership isn’t just about who you directly lead—it’s about the ripple effect your influence creates through them.”
III.
“Where are my outspoken and passionate extroverts/ambiverts? *raises hand with you
This one’s for us..
Not every opportunity to speak is the right time to speak. That was a challenging lesson for me to learn.
A few years ago, I was introduced to a simple but powerful framework called W.A.I.T. It stands for: Why Am I Talking?
This still helps me to this day.
Sometimes in passionate conversations, we can be quick to share our insight. But let’s just be real here, it’s not always to add value—sometimes, it’s to be seen as valuable.
There’s a big difference between bringing value and needing to be seen as valuable.
That’s where W.A.I.T comes in. It helps us pause just long enough to ask:
‘Why do I feel the need to speak right now?’
Is it to contribute? Or to be noticed?
Practicing that pause can help us grow into leaders who speak with intention—not just empty words. And sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is let someone else have the mic.”
1 Quote From Someone Else
“What makes Jesus a compelling leader is His willingness to die.”
