FLG: On the 3 P's you need in the middle of transition seasons, servant-leadership defined, and do you need a physician?
Happy FLG Thursday,
Here are 3 thoughts from me, 1 quote from someone else, and 1 question to consider focused on faith, leadership, and personal growth to think about this week…
3 Insights On Faith, Leadership, and Personal Growth
I.
Faith
“And Jesus answered them, ‘Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.’" - (Luke 5:31-32)
Here’s the powerful truth: Jesus knew that every human being was spiritually sick— and in desperate need of a physician. Why? Because we are all sinners.
Are you aware of your need for a Savior?
Are you aware that outside of a relationship with Jesus, you are spiritually sick?
This awareness is where *salvation begins. If you have never recognized your need for The Great Physician, then it’s worth asking: have you truly received Him into your heart?
*salvation meaning: to be saved from sin and it’s consequences, achieved through faith in Jesus Christ.
II.
Leadership
“The definition of servant-first leader:
The use of influence to humbly and intentionally meet the needs of others.”
III.
Growth
“The 3 P’s You Need in the Midst of a Transition
Patience
Patience isn't just about waiting—it's about how you wait. Your attitude while waiting is just as important as the act itself. Why? Because how you wait determines whether you'll be aware and open enough to pick up the tools you’ll need for the next season of your journey.
Impatience can lead to two very dangerous outcomes:
Jumping prematurely into opportunities you’re not equipped for, or
Going back to what’s familiar, forfeiting the potential of what could be.
With that being said, patience is vital in transition. It’s a quiet strength. It’s a deep trust that timing truly matters.
Prayer
In any relationship, especially during seasons of change, communication should increase, not decrease. The same goes for our relationship with God. In transitional seasons, prayer isn’t just about talking to God—it’s about aligning with the One who knows your story from beginning to end. Including everything in between.
Here’s an illustration I love:
“Think of prayer with your Heavenly Father like using the Waze GPS app. He knows the best route, the detours, the traffic, and even the traps—so you don’t have to take the unnecessarily long way.”
God’s wisdom is essential, especially when the road ahead feels uncertain.
People
Transition often tempts us to isolate. Whether it’s because we feel vulnerable or because we don’t want others to see that we don’t have all the answers, we tend to pull back. But that’s the exact moment when trusted people are needed the most.
Surround yourself with those who:
Talk you away from the ledge when doubt creeps in
Remind you of your past victories and resilience
Offer wisdom and encouragement when life feels dim
Pray for you, walk with you, and genuinely care
One of the primary ways God speaks to us is through people.
Transition seasons are rarely comfortable while you’re in the midst of them. But with Patience, Prayer, and People, you don’t just survive them—you come out on the other side stronger, wiser, and equipped for what’s next.”

1 Question To Ask Yourself..
When is the last time you intentionally created time to do nothing at all?
