The top 3 influential people in my life are my mom, godfather (Bruce Brown), and godmom (Tara Williams-Brown)
Mom: Watching all she’s overcome to provide for herself, my siblings, and me has motivated me for my entire life. When I was a child, she woke up one morning and was paralyzed from the neck down. She was in the hospital and going back and forth to physical therapists for years. To this day, she has to use her crutches in certain environments. She can't run, go upstairs easily, etc., and I’ve never heard her complain. In the midst of that, there were a lot of financial setbacks, but she made a way. She doesn't allow her disability to stop her from experiencing anything she wants to experience.
Bruce and Tara: I met them when I was a child, and they were still figuring things out. I watch them go from a place of struggle to wealth. Bruce has no degree, but all the street smarts in the world. When I met him, he was a car salesman. Now, he runs a six-figure roofing business and is constantly looking to help others get started. Tara went from trying to figure out how to make ends meet to being the lead accountant for a state agency. Through all the financial losses I saw them take, it’s motivating to see them travel wherever they want to and give their children the world in the process.
